Publisher Description
Been training for awhile, and hit a nasty plateau that has mucked your gains up? Interested in training periodization, but not too sure where to start? Fret not, for here is an app that will take your powerlifting to the next stage.
Jonnie Candito is one of the few fitness YouTubers out there who provides legit—no frills, no garbage—fitness advice that is not only intelligent, but also instantly actionable. Unlike other fitness channels, he comes as he is—without the agenda of hawking some protein shake or a nasty program that will provide a fat afterburn effect.
This app features one of his training programs that he provides for free on http://canditotraininghq.com/. It is an excellently crafted piece of work; with it I have finally broken my plateau, and moved up the weights once more. While it is not exactly a silver bullet (you still need to put in the discipline and hard work), training smarter will definitely make you a stronger lifter.
NOTE: If you are a beginner, you might want to try a program that is more linear (such as StrongLifts 5x5 or Starting Strength). In fact, Candito also offers a linear powerlifting program that is similarly free-on-charge on his website. Please practice sound judgment prior to starting any workout program, and consult your health practitioner should you have any queries/doubts.
